Who We Are
As a small local business just outside of Cochrane, Alberta, we are two farm kids at heart, who grew up with a strong work ethic and a passion for craftsmanship. We decided to turn what we love into a business, using our skills and creativity to design and produce unique metalwork pieces. Each creation is a reflection of our dedication to quality and our desire to share something special with our community and beyond. Through our metalwork, we aim to bring a touch of artistry and functionality to the lives of those around us.
Our Metalwork Fabricator:
Mike Heidel
Born and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, Mike knows the value of hard work, precision, and craftsmanship. With a passion for creating high-quality products, Mike started his small business not just as an income stream, but as a way to stay busy doing what he loves—building things that bring joy to others.
Mike’s ultimate reward? The smile on a customer’s face when they see their finished product. He’s not just a fabricator; he’s a problem-solver. If he spots a better way to build something during the process, he doesn’t hesitate to modify the design to ensure the best possible outcome.
At the heart of Mike’s work is his no-compromise motto: “No Shit Leaves the Shop!” It’s a promise of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship in every piece he creates.
Thank you for stopping by—Mike looks forward to building something amazing for you!
Our Metalwork Designer:
Donna Heidel
Raised on the same Saskatchewan farm that instilled a strong work ethic and creativity, Donna has always had a knack for working with her hands. After retiring from a fulfilling career as a draftsperson, she found a new passion in designing, creating, and marketing metalwork. Staying active and engaged, Donna thrives on the challenges and joys of her craft—never bored, always inspired.
Her journey into hands-on creation began years ago when she built a boat and discovered her love for tools and craftsmanship. Today, Donna enjoys designing unique pieces, often stepping outside the box and letting her creativity guide her to unexpected and exciting results.
Specializing in CNC plasma cutting, Donna tailors every design to meet the customer’s vision, ensuring precision and personalization in every project.
For Donna, it’s all about the process, the creativity, and the satisfaction of bringing ideas to life. Let her help bring your vision to reality!

FAQs
How does the custom design process work?
The process begins with your idea. The team collaborates with you to create a design that fits your requirements. After refining the design for fabrication, we proceed with production upon your final approval.
How long does it take to complete a custom order?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the design and the current workload. It’s best to contact us directly for an estimated timeframe.
Can I request a specific theme or animal for my product?
Yes, we can create products based on your preferred theme, animal, or design idea.
What is the difference between powder coating and painting?
The main difference lies in durability and application. Powder coating is more robust and long-lasting, making it ideal for outdoor or high-use items, while painting is more versatile and cost-effective for smaller or decorative projects. For our firepits we use a black high temp paint to withstand the hightemperatures.
How do I maintain my metalwork items?
Regular cleaning and occasional protective treatments (like rust prevention) can help maintain the appearance and durability of your metalwork.
